Terms of Service

Last updated: 19 July 2026

01Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an application to Black Swan Cohort or otherwise using this platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not apply.

02What the Cohort Is

Black Swan Cohort is a talent-acquisition event operated by Black Swan Ventures Group LLC. Participation in the Cohort is not, by itself, an employment offer. Any subsequent hire into a portfolio venture is issued separately under that venture's own terms and documents.

03Worker Classification

Accepted candidates are typically engaged as independent contractors for the duration of the event. Independent contractor status means you are responsible for your own tax filings, benefits, and any applicable business registrations. Any employment relationship that follows the event with a portfolio venture is governed by that venture's own terms, issued separately at that time.

04The Advance Payment

Upon interview acceptance, an advance is wired to your bank account before event day. The advance is compensation for participation in the event. Tax reporting on any amounts received is the recipient's responsibility. If you cancel after the advance is received without an accepted rescheduling, the advance is repayable within 30 days.

05Application Paths

Three paths lead into the Cohort — Standard Application, ZoomerStart Ticket, and 100 Rejections. All paths are governed by these Terms. The 100 Rejections path additionally requires verifiable proof (up to 100 individual rejection screenshots) as described in our Privacy Policy.

06Dispute Process

You may dispute an evaluation outcome up to three times. Each dispute requires a written reason identifying the specific criterion in question. If a dispute is accepted, we issue a custom re-entry task; completing that task returns you to the interview pool. After three disputes, further re-entry requires a Contract Task (hourly) or Commission Task (appointments booked). Section 06 is an in-platform process and is distinct from Section 11 legal dispute resolution.

07Intellectual Property

Black Swan Ventures Group LLC owns all curriculum, evaluation criteria, branding, marks, and platform content. Nothing in these Terms grants you any license to reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from that material without prior written consent.

08Results Disclaimer

Attendance at the Cohort and evaluation during the event do not guarantee a role, an offer, or any particular compensation. We evaluate against a fixed standard, and outcomes vary.

09Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Black Swan Ventures Group LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform or participation in the Cohort. Direct liability is capped at the amount of the advance paid to you, if any.

10Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

11Dispute Resolution

Any legal dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration seated in Wyoming, or, at either party's election, in the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming. This clause is distinct from the in-platform dispute process in Section 06.

12Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes take effect 14 days after posting. Continued use of the platform after that period constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
